Dhul Hijjah month’s holy Gyarvi Sharif of Shaykh Mohiuddin Abdul Qadir Jilani (R.) observed at historical Bakshi Bazar Khanqah Sahreef. Peer Saeed Anwar Mobaraki hujur hafizahu allah presided over the ceremony. It was observed on 18 June, 2024, on the next day of Eid-ul Adha.
It was a very spiritual gathering including khatm e gawthia, khatm e khwajgan, Durood, Zikir, Naat, Manqabat, Milad and Qiyam, altogether, like a complete Islamic Sufi package, took almost 3 hours.
Bakshi Bazar khanqah has historical roots in Dhaka. A silsilah of presenting Durood and Salawat upon the Blessed prophet Muhammad (S.) and Ale Muhammad (A.S.) 5000 times every day after Fajr prayer. This practice is going on consistently for 80 years, a stop less ritual, since the Khanqah formed by honorable Grand Shaykh, Hafiz Faqeer Zuhur al Qadri. May Allah accept this great service from Bakshi Bazar Khanqah.
There is no way to know whether an act of worship will be accepted by Allah or not, except offering Durood and Salawat upon the prophet. These are always to be accepted in the very moment, it is performed. Durood is the only act of worship that is always accepted by Allah and is always answered. Therefore, this practice of constant Durood is a medium to attain the closeness of the Prince of the Two Worlds.
It is known from the book of Tirmidhi, Hadith 484.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ” أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ عَلَىَّ صَلاَةً ”
Tirmidhi 484.
The Prophet Muhammad (S.) said, “The person who has presented the most salawat to me, will be the closest to me on the Day of Judgement.”
Sufi Shahenshah, the Saheb-e Sajjaza of khanqah e Ghiyasiya said:
” Alhamdulillah. I am very thankful to Allah, his Prophet, Pakpanjatan and respected honorable Peer sahab Anwar Mobaraki for inviting me. So, I get the opportunity to attend this sacred gathering.”
He also said:
“ From khanqah e Ghiyasiya, we are very grateful to Mobaraki sahib, keeping this tradition of Durood alive. We pray that, May, Allah bless your Khanqah to carry on this service till the day of Judgement. Ameen.”
