BTP Protest Aulia Haters’ Attack on Bangladeshi Sufi Shrines.

The Bangladesh Tariqat Parishad (BTP), a non-political organization focused on Sufism, organized a protest meeting, human chain, and memorandum presentation to the Honorable Chief Adviser of the Interim Governmentaimed to denounce recent attacks on religious institutions, including Sufi Shrines and Darbars. The event, held at Abdus Salam Hall in the National Press Club,in Dhaka, Bangladesh, began at 10 a.m. yesterday. Professor D. Shah Kawsar Mustafa Abul Ulai, Chairman of Dhaka University’s Philosophy Department, was the chief guest at the gathering.

The chief guest said in his speech, “Capitalizing on the bloody victory of the students, the Aulia haters are looting the profits by demolishing and setting fire to the Shrines and Khankas of Pir-Dervishes, who are the pioneers of peace in the society. It is high time that, our university student coordinators who are leading the national movement, should take action upon this issue.”

 

 

BTP Central President Pir BasarKhandani of Khandani Darbar Sharif presided over the meeting and gave the welcome speech.The memorandum was read by Md. Shamsul AlamChisti is the General Secretary of BTP and DemaraChistiaKhankah’s Director.

Special guest Syed Zafar Sadek Shah said, “Aulia haters are determined to create anarchy in the society, like breaking jackals on the heads of students. To make victory meaningful, it is the demand of the hour to ensure the safety and human rights of people of all walks of life.” “We Urge the Interim Government to take appropriate action in this regard”, he added.

The main speaker D. Muhammad AhsanulHadi, associate professor of The Deparment of Persian Language and Culture of the University of Dhaka said in his speech, “Peer Auliyas played a vital role in building a society of harmony by purifying the stubbornness, lust and aggressive mentality of people. Aulia haters are playing demonic games. They are using the students’ victory as a tool for their own sugarcane.”

Shahsufi Ali Reza Pehlvi Haidar of Pagar Darbar of Tongi, Aminul Ehsan Ferdous of Al Kadmi Darbar, ShahsufiDeen Mohammad Nizami Chishti, ShahsufiMuktar Reza Masumi, Pir Khwaja Arifur Rahman of Gachtala Darbar, Syed Majedul Haque Chandpuri and others spoke as special guests in the meeting moderated by Shah Medu, the Central Information Technology Secretary of BTP.
