This photo is of Shaykh Dr. Muhammad Abul Fath al-Bayanuni. His grandfather Shaykh ‘Isa Bayanuni from Halab would make Hajj every year and his routine would be to stay in Madinah for a long period and then go to Makkah so he could stay with Sayyid ‘Alawi al-Maliki.

One year, he saw the  Prophet ﷺ in his dreams who said, “We have reserved a place for you here in Madinah!” That year, he went to Makkah first and stayed with Sayyid. He was really surprised, so he informed him of his dream.

When the Shaykh reached Madinah that year, he was ill for three days and passed away. He was then buried in the holy graveyard, Janatul “Baqi”. His grave was opened up later on and it was fully intact. It was as if he was alive.

The scholars said this was due to him writing the following lines of poetry, “By Allah, a body that has love of Ahmad within it shall not be consumed by the earth. How can the earth consume him when love for the Prophet is in his heart and praise of him is in his mouth.”

It is narrated that, once Rasulallah ﷺ made a du’a for his beloved wife and said, “O Allah, forgive A’ishah of her past sins and her future sins, the hidden of them and the apparent.” She became so overjoyed that she began to laugh and placed her head upon the Prophet’s ﷺ lap. He then asked, “Does this supplication make you happy? Wallahi, I make this du’a for every single person in my ummah in every prayer.”

So, let us imagine, how fortunate are we as a Ummah!
