Sheikh Imam Hassan Cisse-Niyas left this world in the early hours of the 13th of August 2008 in a grand and symbolic manner:
1. After leading the Mogreeb, wasifa, and Ishai prayers, he proceeded to the Raoda as usual to visit his father, maternal grandfather and all his uncles that have gone to invoke blessings on their departed souls.
2.But he did something unusual at the Kabari of his grandfather, Sheikh Ibrahim Niyas, he placed his palm at the top of the steel demarcation and stared for a long time into space as if he was saying ” good bye?”, or “see you soon?” or “on my way grandpa”?

3. Outside the Kabari, some crowd joined him for the last picture he took on earth. His expression was sober and forlorn.
4. He paid visits to all his maternal uncles starting from Sheikh Tijan Niyas, the late Khalifa, Papa Akeeb, Niyas and others that were the assistant Imams to have closed door meetings with them.
5. He handed over millions of cefa as his own contributions to the completion plans of the mosque.
5. His first son and Khalifa, Sheikh Modu Cisse who was in Nigeria on a mission was ordered to take any available flight back home immediately.
6. He sent for Sheikh Tijan Cisse, his immediate brother, our current Grand Imam world wide and had private discussions with him and also make fatigue complain.

7. He went to take his final bath and took his medications. After assuring Sheikh Tijan he was okay, he layed on the “couch?” and slept on.
8. He was discovered dead when Sheikh Tijan Cisse wanted to wake him up to go and sleep in bed to be more comfortable. He was not “cold” dead, he was still “warm” dead.
9. One of his sons, Sheikh Ibrahim who resides in America was also around. He narrated how devastated he was when his father was confirmed dead at the hospital and was taken to the mortuary.
He said “when everyone weeping turned back from my father’s still form with the intention of going home and come back in the morning.
.” I was amazed that my father whom everyone was always eager to gleams, touch, stay with will stay alone in that cold mortuary. So, I decided to stay with him there till day break

10. Everyone was amazed to see Khalifa Modu Cisse arrived Medina Baye very early in the morning. They were all wondering how he heard the news and could come so quickly, while he was wondering while everyone was staring at him and looking away at the same time.
11. Imam told one of his close personal aides in confidence that he has the feeling that his time was up. He said, ” Like my Grandpa, Sheikh Ibrahim Niyas, I have started seeing Rasulu Llahi , Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), not in my dreams anymore, but physically, face to face , not once, not twice and when this happens to the great saints, they are being called back home.
The vision came to past. Up to this, moment, I’m yet to awake from that devastating dream ? or forced reality that his soul can never be seen in that same body called it “garment”, ” cloth” on this earth again . It could be wrapped in better robes to come and continue from where he left if Allah wills.
But as a spirit of Allah, from Allah and back to Allah, he still liveth till eternity.

To appreciate him as our Sheikh, Grand Imam, First Grandson of Sheikh Ibrahim Niyas and a great scholar and propagator of Islam and Faedo to the Western and Eastern world in continuation of the duty embarked on by his grandfather.

Submit these special divine assignment to the “office” of Allah. Label it “A gift to the departed soul of Sheikh Hassan Cisse.
