THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh.

A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.

Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.

Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

The purpose of Muslims and mankind in this life is to attain the pleasure of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and to attain the love of Allah ﷻ which is higher, to be HabibuLlah on the way of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. HabibuLlah means the beloved person of Allah ﷻ. This must be the purpose. The purpose of people should not be Dunya.

Attaining the pleasure and love of Allah ﷻ is the greatest and best thing for people. Without it, nothing is useful and has any benefit. Even if not only the whole world but ten of this world is yours, without the love of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, nothing has any benefit. Therefore, clever ones do however the love of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is attained.

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying that beloved people of Allah ﷻare the ones who go to the mosque in the dark. People who go to pray with Jama’ah in the dark which means ‘Isha and Fajr prayers are the beloved people of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They are the people who have attained the pleasure and love of Allah ﷻ. They do the highest thing.

Some ignorant people ask why we were created. Ignorant means they don’t know. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is informing and teaching us. He ﷺ is saving us from ignorance. If you couldn’t go to the mosque, at least wake up for Fajr prayer at home. Pray it and go to bed. If you couldn’t that as well, at least pray after you get up. You may make it up until the Dhuhr. You may perform it with the Sunnah until the Dhuhr. And after the Dhuhr it becomes Qada. Even if it became Qada, perform it as well. If you don’t do that, what is the use of your life? It has no use. If you can make it up later, do so. If you don’t, your life is wasted. It has no benefit. Life without benefit means you forever lost great virtues and great blessings.

Insha’Allah the order of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is not difficult. People can do it. Allah Azza wa-Jalla doesn’t order what people can’t do. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says:

لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ
“La yukallifu Llahu nafsan illa wus’aha’’
“Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity.’’ (Qur’ān 02:286). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla never orders what people can’t do.

Therefore, people who say it is difficult and this and that obey their egos. And who obey their egos will be at loss. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻ not make us from those who obey their egos. May we be on the way of Allah ﷻ

May we be from the beloved people of Allah ﷻ insha’Allah.
