WASWASA IS A TEST: Adil ar-Rabbani

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh.

A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā,Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.

Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
مِن شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ
(Qur’ān 114:04).
‘’Min sharri l-waswāsi l-kḥannās’’
‘‘From the evil of the retreating whisperer.’’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm.

May Allah ﷻ protect us from the evil of shaytan that makes Waswasa, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. This is the last Ayah of Surat An-Nas.

Everyone has Waswasa. Some people come and say, “We have such and such Waswasa.” This is the test for people. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gave test to people. But He ﷻ gave easiness as well. Don’t listen to it, He ﷻ says. Seek refuge in Allah ﷻ from its evil.

Whatever Waswasa comes to your heart, as long as it doesn’t come out, as long as you don’t accept it and do it, it has no ruling. It has no sin as well. Because it is a test. It is something Allah ‘Azza wa- Jalla tests people with. If you don’t do it, it has no harm and no sin.

Contrarily, it gives strength to people’s Iman. When you don’t pay attention to it, your strength of Iman increases. Otherwise, if a person pays attention to it and listens to it, he will have a hard time here and hereafter. There are more hardships in this world. And may Allah ﷻ forgive for Akhirah. However, there will be more hardships in this world, because he pays attention to useless things, or he does useless things because of Waswasa.

Waswasa means all kinds of obsessive thoughts, or when someone doesn’t accept
the truth he hears and says it must be like this or like that. So he does things according to his own mind. He takes useless burden on himself. And the things he does have no benefit and Thawab. Even though they have no sin, they have no benefit as well. He will have done useless things. Instead, he can do better things.

As we said, Waswasa never stops; while you are praying, while you are in bed or waking up. You may be in Umrah or Hajj, there is no place where it does not occur. It is a test for people in this world.

May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla protect us all from the evil of Waswasa insha’Allah.
