Paradise Is a Promise: Shaykh Adil al-Ḥaqqānī

Ṣuḥbah of the 1st of April, 2024.

As-Salāmu ‘alaykum wa-raḥmatu Llāhi wa-barakātuh.

A‘ūdhu bi-Llāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Aṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-awwalīna wa-l-ākhirīn. Madad yā Rasūla Llāh, madad yā Sādātī Aṣḥābi Rasūli Llāh, madad yā Mashāyikhanā, dastūr Mawlānā Shaykh ‘Abdu Llāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistānī, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.

Ṭarīqatuna ṣ-ṣuḥbah, wa-l-khayru fi l-jam’iyyah.

“Inna lladhīna ’āmanū wa-‘amilū ṣ-ṣāliḥāti kānat lahum jannātu l-firdawsi nuzula” (18:107). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla promises Paradise to those who believe and do good deeds.

Paradise is a place that people cannot even imagine using their minds. The beauties of Paradise exist by the power of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Everything is by the power of Allāh جل جلاله. They are prepared for the believers. Allāh جل جلاله promises to believers and those with īmān (faith), beauties that neither eye has seen, nor ear has heard, nor mind has thought of. “I جل جلاله will certainly grant it to them,” says Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. This is good tidings for mankind, but mankind doesn’t know its value. Whether or not you know it [its value], you are Muslim. Be on the way of Allāh جل جلاله. Do not deviate from Allāh’s جل جلاله way and order.

The way of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is not a difficult way. It is not difficult for people, it is difficult for the ego. The main issue here is that worship is not a difficult thing for people. Fulfilling all the orders of Allāh جل جلاله is not difficult, but it is difficult for the ego. If you spend even one percent on worship of the energy you spend on other things, it will still be difficult for the ego.

Therefore, a person who restricts and controls his ego reaches these favours. Allāh جل جلاله grants it to everyone. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla does not refuse those who ask. Therefore, may we attain these good tidings, in shā’a Llāh.

This is a holy month. There are all kinds of beauties in this month. Fasting, worship, suḥūr, ifṭār, all of them have different rewards. In return, one feels relief, and reaches those great, beautiful places in ākhirah (the hereafter), in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh جل جلاله grant it to all of us. May we appreciate it. Appreciation is an attribute of prophets and good people. Not being appreciative is the characteristic of bad people. It is the characteristic of shayṭān. They don’t value anything. No matter what you do for them, they don’t even look at you.

Therefore, we thank Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla for these gifts. Shukr (thanks) to Allāh جل جلاله. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla granted us such things. Most people haven’t been granted that. Therefore, shukr to Allāh جل جلاله, in shā’a Llāh.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, promising for believer and who do good deed, the Paradise. What is Paradise? You just, maybe, hear by name. People, they don’t know. They imagine something, but it is beyond the imagine, the beauty, the happiness you will get there. You will be not be afraid. You will not be worried. You will be not be anxious, stressed. Nothing from this. This is the lowest thing [from] what you will be in Paradise. No jealousy, no enmity, no bad thing, no afraid from anybody to make harm you to, like dunyā (this world). This, Paradise, gift for human being, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. And to get it, it is not difficult. Just obey Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla order, and you will be get it.

This is not difficult at all for human being, but difficult for the ego, nafs. Ego, they don’t, it [does] not like order of Allāh جل جلاله. Maybe you can do hundred time more than this worshipping, for nothing, in life. But when you will make one percent, it will become very difficult for ego. They don’t want. Ego make people to feel tired from worshipping, to be not happy. But when you do it, al-ḥamdu liLlāh, Allāh جل جلاله give you happiness, give you every good thing. He جل جلاله give you this: what He جل جلاله promised us for Paradise, for Jannah. And it is for everybody, open. No, “Why?”. And not narrow, like dunyā, you will be stay in small house, bad town, bad, dirty places. No. It is wide and you cannot imagine what happiness, what gift, in this place. And it’s not only for small, short, of life. For forever it will be, in shā’a Llāh.

So we are thanking Allāh جل جلاله , to make us to gathering here, for His ,جل جلاله love, for His جل جلاله Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم love and awliyā’u Llāh love. We are in Paradise here; in shā’a Llāh, in ākhirah also, we will be in Paradise. No doubt for this, in shā’a Llāh.

Allāh جل جلاله give people good thinking to be come to this good thing, in shā’a Llāh.

Wa-min Allāhi t-tawfīq, al-Fātiḥah.
