The 20th Universal Sufi Festival 2023 was addressed by the Minister for Liberation War Affairs of Bangladesh, as chief guest.
Minister of Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque MP said that BNP-Jamaat is a political party of hypocrites. BNP-Jamaat came to power in 2001 by falsely assuring people in the name of Islam and did not do anything for Islam, rather they were involved in various anti-Islamic activities. The then Prime Minister, embezzled the money of the orphans, which was proved in the court and the court punished her. Her son established the Hawa Bhaban and became involved in various anti-Islamic activities including looting people’s wealth.
The minister continued, but the present government has been doing commendable work for the development of Islam including building 560 model mosques across the country. During the present government, people of all religions are practicing their respective religions farely and freely in a harmonious environment. He urged everyone to live with religious values to establish discipline in the society.
The minister said these while speaking as the chief guest at seminar of the 20th Universal Sufi Festival (Mahatma Shammelon) at the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) auditorium in Dhaka on Tuesday, March 21, organized by Chittagong Darbar Sharif.
The minister urged everyone to fulfill their duties as being inspired by the ideals of Bangabandhu and the spirit of the liberation war.
The central president of the Bangabandhu Research Council Lion Md Gani Mia spoke as a special guest while Allama Sufi Syed Jafar Sadek Shah, the Sufi Shaykh of Chattogram Darbar Sharif was in the chair.

Rahe Bhandar Enoble Award was given to 10 laureates at the event. A special DOA Mahfil was held wishing for the prosperity of the nation at the end of the seminar.
