Shaykh Mohammed Aslam wrote in a Facebook post that, One of the millions things I love about the Prophet ﷺ was his humility and greatness as a leader.

Do you know when Sayyiduna Ali came to Madinah, his feet were swollen due to him walking for such a distance – the Prophet went to him and cried when looking at his state and then massaged his feet?
A Prophet serving his follower in such a way.
He didn’t like his pillow to be softened more than others. He didn’t let people walk behind him. He didn’t like to sit high above others. If strangers walked in, they would need to ask where he was seated. He would go to the homes of the poor. He would share simple food with the weak.

He accepted the invitation of those who had nothing. He would visit the ill and go to them barefooted. He would attend to the needs of slaves and sit with them.
He gave women time and resolved their problems.
In war, he would have ate the least but he would serve his companions. He would not eat until they finished and were full.
He was fully accessible to the community. He did things himself. He didn’t like people serving him. He partook in community projects and did physical work. He asked about everyone and wanted to know about them, and he cared about those who had nobody.
