Some Sayings of Hadhrat Sheikh-e-Tarīqat Syed Shah Na’eem Ashraf Ashrafi Al-Jilāni (Rahmatullāhi ‘Alayh)
- Always stay in a state where neither will you be ashamed upon seeing someone nor would the person feel ashamed upon seeing you.
- Grievance is born from the womb of hope.
- The one of complaint is the one of jealousy and enmity.
- One who does not pray, cannot be trusted under any condition.
- Talking and laughing excessively are causes of unpopularity.
- Be it with friends or with enemies, one should behave courteously with all. And Murīd should have eyes cast down when walking.
- Whenever you have time, read the biographies of your predecessors.
- The greatest and most important task of the Murīd of the Silsila is the observance of Sharī’at.
- Murīd should not be negligent even for one moment in matters of Farāiz (compulsory acts) and Wājibāt (obligations).
- Fear Allah at all times and adopt piety.
- Keep your heart away from rancour, hatred and jealousy, for, there is no such thing for the people of Silsila.
