Teachings of Nigerian Shaykh Muhammad Nuru Hakeem (R.T.A.)

We are presenting here some valuable words belongs to the teaching of Shaykh Muhammad Nuru Hakeem (R.T.A.) of Ilorin in Nigeria:

ياعابدالله لاتقنط من الله # رحمة وقم بذا السير إلى الله

1. Yaa Abida Lahi laa taknat mina Laahi # Rahmatan wakum bi-dhaa-saeri ilaa-l-Laahi

1. Oh you servant of Allah! do not despair; # from the mercy of your Lord, just continue your journey to Allah.

ولا تعتمد إلى أعمالك الظاهرا # ت بل ولا الباطنات إرج إلى الله

2. Walaa ta‘atamid ilaa a‘amaalika-zahiraa # ..ti. Bal walaa l baatinaat, irju ila-Laahi

2. Do not rely on neither your manifest act of worship # nor the hidden ones, but put your hope in Allah.

ولم يزل دائما عند ظن العبد ما # ظن به الخير إلتجئ إلى الله

3. Walam yazal daaimaan ‘inda zani-l-‘abdi maa # Zana bihi-l-khaeri iltaji ilaa-Laahi

3. Allah will always act upon the belief of His servant # Therefore always have positive beliefs and take refuge by Allah.

تيقن بأنه غيرمخلف لعه # ده تقرب بذا دوما إلى الله

4. Tayaqan bi-anahu, ghaera mukhlifii li-ah # ..dihi taqarab bi-dhaa dawmaan ilaa-Laahi

4. Be assured that Allah never change His promises; # On that basis, Endeavour to get closer to Allah.

يا أولا لا بداية له لا ولا # نهاية مطلقا لآخر الله

5. Ya awwala laa bidaayatan lahu la walaa # nihaayatan mutlaqaan, li aakhira-Laahi

5. Oh you Allah! Who has no beginning. # And there is no end to the existence of Allah.

يا باطنا كل باطن له ظاهر # إذ برزت خلقه كلا إلى الله

6. Yaa Baatinaa kulu baatini lahu Zaahirun # Idh barazat khalquhu kulaan ilaa-Laahi

6. Oh you the Hidden! to Whom all hidden things are manifest; # The secret of creation of all things, is open to Allah.

إبتطن الكل من ظهوره كافة # فى ليلة يرتقى قوم إلى الله

7. Ibtatan al-kulu min Zuhuurihi kaafatan # fii laelati yartaqii qawmun ilaa-Laahi

7. Under the emergency of Allah, all things, get observed; # In a night in which a set of people rise up to their Lord, Allah.

فليلة القدر عندنا غشت دهرنا # إذ الصوم عندنا عما سوى الله

8. Fa-Laelatul qadri indanaa gashat dahranaa # Idh sawmu ‘indanaa amaa siwaa-Laahi

8. Our own laylatul-Qadr (Night of Majesty) covers all our times. # Since sawm (fasting); to us, is ignoring any things other than Allah.

صلا تنا وصلنا زكاتنا عندما # أخرجت أرواحنا عرجا إلى الله

9. Solatuna waslunaa, zakaatunaa inda maa, # Ukhrijat arwaahunaa, kharjan ilaal Laahi

9. Our own prayer is our unity with God, while we give out our own zakat # ..when our souls are made to rise to Allah.

يحج كل الورى وذا الحج قصدهم # ولم يسلكوا سبيلهم إلى الله

10. Yahuju kula-l-waraa, wadhaa-l-haju qasduhum # Walam yaslukuu sabeelahum ila-Laahi

10. People go on pilgrimage to Makkah and with that; they intend to reach Allah; # But they have never been able to find their way to Allah.

إلى بيته الذى يحجون دائما # حققنا أصولنا نحن إلى الله

11. Ilaa baetihi ladhii, yahujuuna daa’imaan # Haqaaqunaa usuulanaa, nahnu ila-Laahi

11. They continually travel to His House (but fail to get Him) # But ascertaining our source therefore, We reach Him (Allah).

لقد فنى قومنا وهذا الفنى فنى # وبعد ذاك الفنى بقو مع الله

12. Laqad fanaa qawmunaa wa adhal fanaa fanaa # Wa ba‘ada dhaakal fanaa, bakaw maha-Laahi

12. Our people have vanished (in the Light of Allah) # and having been vanished, they remain with Allah.

إمتثلوا أمر خير هذا الورى فمو # تهم قبل موتهم فهم مع الله

13. Imtathaluu amra khaeri adhal waraa famao # ..tuhum qabla mawtihim fahum maha-Laahi

13. They put in to practice the order given by prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم who is the best of all creatures # Hence, their death comes before their physical demise and they remain with Allah.

يا أرحم الراحمين كن سائقا لنا # سياقة مرتضى دوما إلى الله

14. Yaa ar’hamu Raahimeena kun saaiqaan lanaa # Siyaaqata murtadaa, dawmaan ilaa-Laahi

14. Oh you the Most Merciful! Be our Guide; # As you guided Muhammad Murtadaa صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم always to Yourself (Oh Allah).

بجاه غوث الورى إبراهيم الكولخ # فرد الزمان له خليفة الله

15. Bijahi gawthul waraa, Ibrahima Kaolakhii # Fardu zamaani lahu khaleefatu-Laahi

15. We plead to you, Allah with the station of the helper of the Universe, Shaykh Ibrahim of Kawlakh. # Who is the Farid (the greatest Shaykh) of our time and the vicegerent of Allah.

من جاء شمسا جلى كل ظلام الدنا # فعين قلب البرا يرنوا إلى الله

16. Man jaa-a shamsaa jalaa, kula zalaami dunaa # Fa-aenu qalbil baraa yar-nuu ilaa-Laahi

16. Shaykh Ibrahim who brightened and illuminated the universe until the darkness disappeared; # Then people’s eyes were set on Allah.

بجاه آباءه وفضل أجداده # فهمنا علومنا نروى من الله

17. Bijaahi aabaa-ihi, wa fadlu ajdaadihi # Fahimnaa uluumanaa, narwaa minal-Laahi

17. We beseech you (Oh Allah) with the spiritual stations of his (Shaykh Ibrahim’s) father and great grandfather. # Open our hearts to understand the knowledge of Allah, so that we will be receiving directly from You, Allah.

بسر أسراره ونور أنواره # تمم لنا نورنا نحيى مع الله

18. Bi-sirri asraarihi wa nuuri anwaarihi # Tamim lanaa nuuranaa nahya maha-Laahi

18. We supplicate to You, Oh Allah with his (Shaykh Ibrahim’s) secret of secret and his light of light
