Indian PM Modi offered chadar to Ajmer Dargah

Indian PM Modi handed over chadar to to Naqvi to be offered at Ajmer Sharif Dargahas a symbol of love and respect to Khwaja Garib Nawaz (R.) on the occasion of 809th annual URS Mubarak 2021.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over a chadar to Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Monday.  He offered the holy chadar on the prime minister’s behalf at the shrine of renowned Sufi saint Garib Newaz Hajrath Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti (R.)

Ajmer Dargah is one of the holiest Sufi shrines in the Indian subcontinent, yearly visit by a large number of Muslim visitors from across the world.

On February 15, 2021 Modi tweeted: “Handed over a Chadar that would be offered at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah on the 809th Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti”.
