African Great Spiritual Master Shaykh Abul Ghayth

The Great Spiritual Master of Africa, Shaykh Abul Ghayth رضي الله عنه

It is mentioned that one day, his donkey was killed by a lion and as it was going to attack Shaykh Abul Ghayth and he said, “I’m a follower and believer of the Prophet of Allah! ﷺ” and the lion became humbled.

What did the famous poet, Imam al Busayri رضي الله عنه say?

‎وَمَنْ تَـكُنْ بِرَسُـوْلِ اللهِ نُصْرَتُـه
‎إِنْ تَلْقَهُ الأُسْـدُ فِيْ آجَــامِهَا تَجِمِ

And the person who has the help of RasoolAllah (ﷺ) with him, even if the lions meet him in their dens; they become submissive.

This is the great wali of Africa, Shaykh Abul Ghayth who was given the same miracle as Sayyiduna Safinah in that one day, his donkey was attacked by a lion and he approached the lion and said, “I’m a servant of the Prophet of Allah ﷺ” and the lion became humbled. The one who fears Allah shall have creation fear him. رحمه الله

Imam Abul Ghayth was unable to read the Quran. For 1 year he sat in Madinah & begged Allah for the ability to recite. He said, “I went to sleep in the Masjid and saw the Beloved who said, ‘Allah has accepted your dua, open the Qur’an and recite.” When he awoke he opened the Quran & was able to read. ﷺ
