115th annual URS Mobarak of the Universal Sufi Saint; Gausul Azam Hajrath Mawlana Syed Ahmed Ullah Maizbhanderi Qaddasa Sirhul Aziz observed at Maizbhander Darbar Sharif yesterday January 24, 2021.

Meritorious student of Kolkata Alia Madrasa; Gausul Azam Maizbhanderi (Q) leave his last breath on 10th Magh (BC) corresponding to January 23, 1906 (AD) at his 79 years age of remarkable holy life.

Presently there are a number of Sufi Shaykh (Pir) leading their Sufi Centers in Maizbhander Darbar Sharif, are his descendent, having thousands of followers at home and abroad. Yesterday the URS Ceremony began following different schedules announced from different Manzil (Sufi Center).

Syed Ahmed Ullah Maizbhanderi (Q) initiated and firmly established the Maizbhanderi Tariqa, having its remarkable individual principles and rituals.

Syed Mohammed Mati Ullah and Bibi Khairun Nesa’s eldest son Syed Ahmed Ullah born approximately on 15 January 1826 AD corresponding to Magh 01, 1233 (BC) at the previously remote village Maizbhander located in Fatikchari Thana of Chittagong District in Bangladesh.

His resting place (Holy Shrine) is situated beside the central yard and pound of Maizbhander Darbar Sharif. He appointed many Khalifa / Sufi Apostles to continue his teachings. Among them, names of 204 Khalifa(s) has enlisted, also became famous Sufi Saints in their own region.

He is also know as Ghaus-e-Azam / Gausul Azam Maizbhanderi, Hadrath (Hajrath) Qibla, Bor Moulana, Fokir Moulovi, Khatemul Olaad, Shaie-e-Lillah and and Gausul Azam Hadrath Moulana Syed Ahmed Ullah Maizbhanderi Qadas Allahu Sirhul Aziz.

Every year thousands of Sufi followers gather at Maizbhander Sarbar sharif and participate in different Sufi rituals while observing the annual URS Mobarak.
