Communication skill and desire of Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse

During childhood of Mawlana Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse رضي الله عنه, He wanted to study French in addition to his Islamic Knowledge but His father denied him. He then concentrated on mastering all the Islamic sciences. He once said,

لو كان لي في اللغة الفرنسية و الانجليزية باع لحملت الإسلام إلي كل باب من أبواب الأوربيين.

“ If I had a way in French or English language, I would have taken Islam to every door in all the entrance of the European countries.”

Insha Allah, Most Beloved grandson, Mawlana Shaykh Imam Hassan Aliyu Hassan Cisse رضي الله عنه fulfilled this wish of Mawlana Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse. He converted over 1,000 Americans and Europeans into Islam and also established an African American Institute in Médina Baye where the Americans memorize Qur’an and study Islamic Knowledge.

This should be a wake up call for us all. Mostly we Tijanis lack behind and we are almost content with been traditional scholars. Most educated Muslims are inclined towards the sunni,Wahabi and salafis because they preach and deliver sermons in English/ French language and that is what they understand best.

Let’s strive hard to educate ourselves and children with both Islamic and western education
